How you will make a difference in patient lives at Rehab America:
The Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for performing various occupational therapeutic treatments for patients with injuries or disabilities that have been evaluated and have had a plan of care developed by an Occupational Therapist. Primary duties include:
Implementing and executing treatment of all patients who could benefit from intervention as prescribed by a state approved referral source
Appropriate delivery of treatment to achieve identified objectives in OT evaluation.
Appropriate documentation of progress against identified objectives
Appropriate maintenance of records/filing in a timely manner
Communication of patient status and needs to the patient, the patient’s family, the staff, and other professionals
Cleaning and maintaining equipment, treatment areas, and storage areas in an orderly and sanitary condition
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with each patient, facility staff and family member
Following all regulations pertaining to the State Practice Acts and follows the American Occupational Therapy Association
Qualifications/Licensure:
Certification and active License as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from the state of employment
Current CPR Certification
Current State of Tennessee Driver’s license
Current Auto liability Insurance according to Company Policy
